One kind of prayer fits all, right?  Wrong! There are eight different types of prayer listed in scripture. United prayer, the prayer of commitment, and the prayer of agreement to name a few.  Each one has a different use and function.  Due to a lack of knowledge of this fact, many believers’ prayers are not as effective as they could be. It is like not having the proper tool to do a job.  Have you ever pounded in a nail using a pair of pliers?  It worked, but it would have been so much easier using a hammer.  The same thing holds true with prayer.  I wouldn’t want to use the prayer of consecration when I needed to pray a prayer of intercession. Would You?
