In today’s world people are always looking for and using shortcuts to make things easier. In God there are no shortcuts. Every step we take on the path God has placed us on prepares us for the next phase of our journey. If we try to take a shortcut then we are not properly prepared for what lies ahead. Thus slowing us down and making the journey tougher. The journey will not be without rough spots and some tough times but we certainly don’t want to make it worse by trying shortcuts and thus being ill-prepared. If you want your journey to be easier then stop looking for shortcuts and simply follow His plan.
